Stoupa Gears Up for the Taygetos Challenge Weekend!

The much-loved Taygetos Challenge is just around the corner, taking place on March 22–23, 2025 in nearby Kardamyli – and here in Stoupa, we’re getting ready to welcome the buzz!

Every year, this exciting mountain running event brings athletes, supporters, and visitors from across Greece and beyond. Although the races take place in Kardamyli, many people choose to stay, eat, and unwind right here in Stoupa – and we love that!

Local businesses are already preparing to welcome new and familiar faces. Cafés are getting stocked, rooms are filling up, and there’s a great energy in the air as the weekend approaches. It’s the perfect time to enjoy the early spring sunshine, breathe in the sea air, and soak up the community atmosphere.

If you’re planning to take part in the event or just coming along to support, Stoupa is a fantastic base – close to the action but relaxed enough to recharge after a busy race day.
